What nothing news worthy to report from all the counties in West Virginia?

I'm Russ Dean Your webmaster. The
one that trys to keep these pages up to date with information WVBA
thinks will help keep you informed about many different things.
I mentioned at the fall 2007
beekeepers conference idea and wanted to post a note for you to read
here. Some of you not have got or don't know how to run a website. I might
be a little slow but I make this offer. If your association wants a
website, WVBA can provide you with a simple single page web site to
provide a little information to your beekeepers and the general public.
Your page would not change much so you would have to come up with what
you'd like on it along with a contact person for your group. Then maybe
in the future you'd like to open one on your own.
Have you visited the photo page?
About the first of the month I try to post a whole new page of about 12
photographs from events thats happened the month before. These if you
can copy and paste them into you picture section of your computer.
Aretha Kees at the fall meeting let me scan one whole photo book
as historical photo's you can do the same their but please alway
give credit to her as I will too. She has documented us down thru the
years which is a great treasure to see. Hers will be coming up later.
Do you have a local fair or other
event that has honey shows where you've won a ribbon and like to crow
about it? Send me a list of all that won, and I'll post it all. Judges
or fair officals are very helpful on this. They like the free
advertisment. And I keep this as a record.
Like to share a recipe thats got
honey? We got one whole page just for this. If it's your recipe and
like to share send it in and I'll post it. I know some that thinks
these are yummy. If it belongs to someone else permission to post it
would be needed. A honey recipe on the internet can be posted as a link
so just email me the link.
So much news involving bees are out
there. Like today Cabel/Wayne sent one in on the bee beard and it was
from China (written in english). These are most the time a link
posting. Just send me the link to the story. Hardly any association
uses it but you can post have posted information on your local area.
Just answer the who, what, where, when and it should cover it plus add
a contact person.
It's a sad day when one of our
beekeeping friend dies. A special section for that is provided to tell
all of our friends. If you can send me the infomation like from the
obituary. If you have a picture those are nice too. Last. If you have something you want
posted. You want it send it in early with a release date just say when.
I delt with this all the time when I freelanced with the newspapers.
If you have any helpful questions,
comments, or suggestions just send them in. Some I might need to take
to the board or the membership like I did at the fall meeting.
