2017 WVBA Spring Conference
The Tri-State Beekeepers Association is hosting the Spring Conference, April 21 & 22, 2017 at Oglebay Resort in Wheeling. One of our speakers will be Dr. Jamie Ellis of the University of Florida. His current article Field Guide for Beekeepers appears monthly in the American Bee Journal. He will be joined by Phil Craft who authors Ask Phil, appearing monthly in Bee Culture. Realizing the growing number of beekeepers with 1-2 years of experience, we hope to explore the whats and whys of activity one encounters in the colony. The program will begin on Friday evening with an ask Jamie/ask Phil session open to all topics regarding beekeeping. We will continue through Saturday with lectures from both guests on various topics covering when and how in management. Through the generosity of sponsors, we are able to provide a first class program at traditional tuition rates, providing a very enjoyable experience for participants. In addition, accommodations at the resort will be available at reduced rates with organized programs throughout the park for family members not attending the conference.
