Since 1917, the West Virginia Beekeepers Association has been dedicated to guiding beekeepers in the mountain state through various means including education, finance, agriculture, and scientific methods. The WVBA collaborates closely with the West Virginia Department of Agriculture to promote honey bees, hive products, and initiatives that provide support to beekeepers. By working hand in hand with the department, the association actively advocates for the welfare of honey bees and their keepers throughout the state.
Driven by a commitment to education, collaboration, and camaraderie, the WVBA continuously strives to raise awareness about the importance of honeybees and their vital role in our ecosystem. The annual Spring and Fall Conferences serve as the pinnacle of our mission, where the exchange of information and the spirit of fellowship take center stage. Through these efforts, we aim to foster a strong sense of community among beekeepers in West Virginia and provide the necessary resources and support to ensure their success.
Our website stands as a momentous milestone for the WVBA, as it brings beekeepers closer together and enhances their experience in the modern era of beekeeping. By facilitating the sharing of valuable resources and fostering a robust community, this platform paves the way for a thriving and sustainable future for apiculture in West Virginia.
